A chipper with a vegan menu? Surely not?
Today, more than ever, restaurants and takeaways are placing more focus on catering for a variety of dietary requirements. One Dublin chipper is now offering a full vegan menu, and the people of Ireland seem to love it!
Mc Guinness’ traditional takeaway on Camden street, Dublin still serves your typical chipper items of course, but – what differentiates them from the rest is their aim is to be “the first chipper to cater to our vegan customers with their own menu because, vegans get hungry, too”. The menu includes options such as vegan burgers, kebabs, pizzas and even battered sausages!
Will we start seeing other takeaways introducing menu items that appeal to a market that they may have thought was inaccessible to them before?
