Deliveroo connects local takeaways & restaurants with their customers to deliver meals in just less than 32 minutes whether it be to their home or office. So what exactly is it about?
Launched in Ireland in April 2015 of last year,
- The website allows users to order food from local restaurants around the city
- Deliveroo will only deliver to addresses within 2.4km or eight minutes of the participating restaurants, in order to ensure quality is maintained.
- Charging the consumer a flat fee of €3 per order, while the participating restaurants pay it 30% commission per order.
- The company is currently servicing various parts of Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast, with plans to expand into numerous parts of Ireland in the coming summer months.
Essentially, they handle the complexity leaving the restaurant focus on continuing to make great food. Great news for consumers, who can now get their favorite takeaway delivered to their door in an average of 32 minutes with the touch of a button!
