Rainbow fads seem to be the next big thing on the internet. This Rainbow trend has transcended into food. From bagels to coffee to cheese toasties – What’s next? ‘The Bagel Store’ based in Brooklyn, New York began the rainbow food craze with their neon coloured dough that’s available in all the colours of the rainbow. These bagels have baked up a storm on Facebook and Instagram, with just about everyone wanting to try them. Another Hong Kong café called KALA Toast created the rainbow grilled cheese, or as we know it a cheese toastie.
There are mixed reviews on the rainbow food craze, some loving the fad and others left puzzled and repulsed. Our guess is that the trend will make its way over to the Emerald Isle in some form, who knows – maybe we’ll be serving chicken fillet baguettes in the county colours soon!
