In the recent 2015 survey of the UK restaurant market covering every type of restaurant spanning fine dining restaurants, casual restaurants, and takeaway food across independent businesses and branded chains, business owners were asked what they considered to be the major challenges facing them in 2015 were. Their answers will resonate with Irish food foodservice business owners, and give a sense of how things are changing as the economy improves.
To summarise the top three:
- Getting good staff is always a challenge
- Finding new products to keep up with consumer tastes
- Growing profits
Probably a very similar story in Ireland, we think.
