PART TIME SALES SUPPORT ROLE (OFFICE BASED)

This is a new position in the business and initially will be a part time role, but with the plan for it to become full-time as the role develops. The office based sales support rep will provide phone support to our field based sales team and our extensive network of foodservice customers. Their primary responsibility will be to maintain contact with our end user customers under the direction of our field sales team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining phone contact as part of a structured sales team support plan.
  2. Providing the necessary help and customer support as may be required.
  3. Informing customers of any relevant promotional or business updates.
  4. Maintaining full records of all customer interactions on our CRM system.
  5. Following up and following through on any actions required and commitments made.
  6. Updating the field sales team and ensuring they are directed to provide on-the-ground support where needed.
  7. Delivering on key performance metrics for the role.
  8. Reporting on key activities on a weekly and monthly basis.

Skills & Experience:

  1. Excellent listening skills with a natural empathy for the customer and being on ‘their side’, while maintaining a sales focus.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills and phone manner, and comfortable dealing at all levels from the business owner to the shop floor.
  3. Disciplined work ethic with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  4. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and comfortable using CRM systems.
  5. Previous experience in telesales or phone support is a big advantage.
